How does the test work?
The breath test is simple, non-invasive, and painless. See the step-by-step:

Arrival and Preparation
You will arrive at the clinic fasting. The professional will explain the procedure and conduct a brief interview.

Basal Collection
You will blow into the device for the first time to measure fasting gases (basal measurement).

Substrate Ingestion
You will drink a liquid containing a specific sugar (such as lactulose, glucose, or fructose) that will serve as food for the bacteria.

Serial Breaths
Every 15 or 20 minutes, you will blow into the device again. HealthGo Air will analyze the exhaled air in real-time.

Immediate Result
At the end of the period (usually 2 to 3 hours), the system generates an automatic report that the doctor can interpret immediately.
What does the test detect?
SIBO
Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth
Excess bacteria in the small intestine that ferment food, causing gas and discomfort.
IMO
Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth
Presence of organisms that produce methane, associated mainly with constipation.
Intolerances
Lactose, Fructose, Sorbitol
